Parent FAQs

WHY WOULD I WANT MY CHILD TO ATTEND TSCS?

Educators, therapists and parents across the region have recognized and affirmed our mission, vision and values for over thirty years. National accreditation awards and a North Carolina Five Star Day Care rating only enhance that image.

But the most important reason is not external affirmations, but the comfort as well as the excitement you will feel when you visit. Each classroom, partnered with a team of therapists, will build the best environment in which your child can grow to their potential.

You will sense the celebrations and pride we share each day with even tiny victories for each child. It is a contagious experience we are delighted to share. But don't take our word for it....come visit. If we are right for you, you will know it!

How do I apply to the school?

You can come to the school and pick up the application, or call the school and ask the receptionist to mail an application you.

For Special Needs children: You can also download and print an application from this web site.

For the Inclusion Program (typically developing children) complete this application online and mail/fax it to the school.

Both applications require the Adobe Acrobat Reader (new window)

What do I do next?

When the application is completed, mail it to the School at 4505 Shattalon Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or fax it to (336) 924-0388 or drop it off at the school.

What happens after I complete the application?

As soon as the application is received, your child's name is placed on the waiting list and you will receive a letter confirming the receipt of the application.

The usual length of wait time varies from 1 to 12 months, depending on the need and availability of an appropriate classroom for your child.
