Parent Empowerment is comprised of parents and/or caregivers of special needs and typically developing children who attend The Special Children's School and the staff who work at the school with our children. Their meetings, held throughout the school year, are a great way to meet fellow parents, school staff and become informed about upcoming events at the school and in our community!

Click here for the Family Support Network website which is a great resource for families with children who have special needs.

We are a non-profit organization and all gifts given to the school are tax deductible. For more information on how you can assist us in our ongoing development efforts please contact us at 336-924-9309 or click here to email or to donate.

We greatly appreciate our community supporters!!

Thank you to our many volunteers who help at the school each week. Our exciting volunteer group includes teenagers, young adults, scout groups, retired school teachers, nurses and everyone in between. Click here if you have an interest in volunteering.
